Specialist Lending Limited is an English company with its registered office at The Square, Basing View, Basingstoke, England RG21 4EB, it uses the trading names “Duologi” and “Purplebricks Payment Services” (“Duologi”, “we”, “us, “our”). Duologi is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
THE PERSONAL DATA WE WILL COLLECT
When you enter into a loan agreement with us, we may process your personal data such as your name and contact information (e.g. email address, postal address and telephone number), your payment information (e.g. annual salary and bank details).
We will collect this information from different sources, for example any information you provide to us directly, provided to us by a broker, from publicly available sources, and from credit reference or fraud prevention agencies.
When you apply to us for a loan, we will obtain information about you from credit reference and fraud prevention agencies to help us decide your application and making decisions about you. This will initially be a ‘soft’ search that will be recorded by the credit reference agency, but only visible to you and us. If your loan application is accepted, we may then convert this to a ‘hard’ search, a record of this will be visible to other organisations making searches.
HOW WE WILL USE YOUR INFORMATION
We will use (‘process’) this information so that we can assess your application, to provide you any services you have requested, maintain our user databases and to keep a record of how our services are being used. It will also be used for any marketing communications you have consented to receive.
It is necessary for us to use your personal data to perform our obligations in accordance with any contract that we may have with you directly or via one of our merchant partners, or it is in our legitimate interest or a merchant’s legitimate interest to use personal data in such a way to ensure that we provide our services in an effective, safe and efficient way.
WHO WE CAN SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH
We use service providers who process your information on our behalf. This will include credit reference agencies, IT and payment service providers, our financing partners, collections agencies, and partners who have introduced you to us or we have been introduced to you. We may also share your information with fraud prevention, law enforcement or other government and regulatory agencies and bodies. These are detailed in our full privacy notice. When we share personal data with others, we put contractual arrangements and security mechanisms in place to protect the information shared and to comply with our data protection, confidentiality and security obligations.
HOW LONG WE WILL KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We will keep your information for at least as long as you have a relationship with us, after this point we will continue to retain your information for no longer than is necessary before we securely dispose or anonymise it. This period will usually be 7 years – unless we are required to keep it for longer because of any other legal or regulatory requirements.
